Military Programs

We at the iTeam are well versed in the many different military relocation programs such as:

The Homeowners Assistance Program (HAP)This program was set up by the Department of Defense to help military personnel home owners who are facing financial loss when selling their homes in areas where real estate values have declined as a result of military action (e.g., base closure or realignment announcement, etc.).
Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) Program
This program through the Veterans Administration (VA) provides grants to military personnel who have been wounded in the line of duty. An eligible veteran or service member may receive a VA grant of not more than 50 percent of the cost of a specially adapted house, up to the aggregate maximum amount allowable by law.
VA Guaranteed Home Loan
A VA–guaranteed loan is a loan made by private lenders (such as banks, savings & loans, or mortgage companies) to eligible veterans. The terms and conditions are typically more favorable than a traditional home loan.
Military Tax Credit
This is a special tax credit that was recently extended for all eligible military personnel and includes a $8,000 tax credit for first-time home buyers and the $6,500 tax credit for repeat home buyers. This tax credit applies to contracts that are in place on or before April 30, 2011 and closed by June 30, 2011.
